Testimonials
Every £1 lost to fraud cannot be spent on front line services – more that can be done to fight fraud locally will help councils to respond in times of reduced funding. Focus on Fraud Awareness provides managers and staff with essential information on fraud risks and makes it clear that we all have a responsibility to help prevent and detect fraud, bribery, and corruption. The Digital Learning training course will be a key part of how the Lincolnshire authorities fight fraud.

We have rolled out Meritec’s Mental Health course right across all staff at the business. We have found the course to be very informative, insightful and will help us breakthrough to those we need to. Thank you for all your help! We would happily recommend Meritec & the Mental Health course to other businesses.

Meritec have been great to work with, they really listened to what we needed and worked closely with us to design a package which was informative and relevant for colleagues. We’ve had some great feedback from across the business about the digital learning and I wouldn’t hesitate with working with Meritec again.

This is our first year of offering the ‘Focus on mental wellbeing for students’ course to our students as part of our expanded induction provision. The course has been well received by students and feedback has included that the course offers useful tips and information and that it is a good resource that can be re-visited in the future. The course is accessible and easy to follow without being too heavy or intensive. It gives a good overview for students in terms of their own mental wellbeing and that of their peers. We are very happy with this course.

Meritec have been great to work with, they listened to our needs and designed a package that works for the charity financially. We have managed to break new ground in sport and to complement our work. The feedback has been massively positive across our different audiences and I would recommend working alongside Meritec again.

The key to anti-fraud culture for housing associations
Fraud is currently the most common crime in England and Wales, accounting for almost 40% of all crimes reported. It’s estimated that the UK loses around £190 billion to fraud each year, and £1.8 billion of this figure can be attributed to housing tenancy fraud alone.

Fraud and Cyber Crime – distinctly different or intrinsically linked?
Although fraud and cybercrime are often lumped together in terms of risk management, they are distinctly different. Not all fraud is committed online, and not all online crimes involve fraud.

How creating the right organisational culture can prevent internal fraud and cybercrime
When you have a good organisational culture, you create an environment where employees feel invested in the company’s success and want to protect it. Because they want to protect it, they are more likely to identify and report threats.
