The CPOMS 1000!
We are delighted to announce that as of this week CPOMS is now in active use by over 1000 schools across the county. Uptake of the system has been rapid as the word spreads as to what a powerful tool CPOMS is for the recording of Child Protection, Safeguarding and wider pastoral and welfare information across the school. Much of our work has come through word of mouth with schools keen to pass on best practice to friends and colleagues. By way of a thank you CPOMS has an innovative referral scheme in place whereby schools can have a credit against future renewal costs if they refer another school to us. One particular school has earned enough referrals to ensure that they have CPOMS FREE for a year! Please continue to spread the word – Just CPOMS it!

MERITEC TO DELIVER BASSETLAW DISTRICT COUNCIL DIGITAL BY DEFAULT MOBILE WEBSITE: Extracts from Press Release
Bassetlaw District Council is to launch a brand new “Digital by Default” website, built in partnership with Meritec. The new website provides easy access to Council Services and offers customers and residents the same quality user experience as online shopping, banking or renewing your car tax. Bassetlaw District Council will look to offer digital services that are so straightforward and convenient that all those who can use them will choose to do so whilst those who can’t are not excluded. From September 2014, Bassetlaw residents will be able to use their smart phones, tablets, laptops and PCs to carry out a number of tasks completely online, more simply and much quicker than ever before. Working with Meritec, the “Digital by Default” approach has allowed the Council to look at redesigning our services, that would otherwise have to be commissioned in-person, by telephone, by official form, letter or email, and making that service so that it is delivered in the same way as people are used to working with their favourite providers online.

Brentwood District Council
Brentwood has contracted with Meritec to deliver a hosted managed application service – for Northgate iworld – for a minimum period of 2 years, together with system set up and support. The council is a new Meritec customer and we were helped in winning the contract by the high level of satisfaction of neighbouring Southend Council who already use a similar Meritec service. This is further proof of our capability to successfully and competitively provide hosted application services, especially revenues and benefits, to local government customers who recognise the value, ease of use and resilience that we provide in comparison with other suppliers.

ITV has been a major Meritec IT Services customer for many years. During the spring of 2013 we won a major extension and expansion contract that required substantial enhancement of relevant infrastructure and the relocation of key components to our leading-edge datacentres. The relocation and switchover have now been very successfully completed thanks to the tireless efforts of the IT Team and our thanks and gratitude to them for this cannot be overstated.

The company’s own IT together with all the infrastructure used to provide services to our customers has now been relocated into two high specification data centres within the UK. The data centres are highly secure and each provides resilience and back-up to the other; this has enabled us to provide improved services to our existing clients and to win new contracts from large public and private sector organisations.
